The love for the outdoors was instilled in me at a young age by my Dad, Jim Senior and my Mom, Jan. My first outdoor memories include camping trips and getting a .22 rifle to shoot squirrels and whatever else roamed the 2 acres of oak trees that my older sister, Mandy, younger brother, Abe and myself grew up on in southern Minnesota. I remember helping butcher home-raised chickens and eating those tasty morsels from about 7 years old on. Little did I know at the time, but that really set me up for an appreciation of what it means to be a meat-eater. That appreciation has carried over into my adult life in a major way. Eating freshly harvested back straps fried up by Mom after a successful whitetail hunt with Dad and Abe are memories that you cant fully appreciate until many years later. I find it incredibly rewarding and fulfilling to get high grade protein and Godly nourishment out of the pastime that I hold so dear to my heart. Leave it to the fat guy from the crew to talk about food. Wow. Anyway, my freezer's full and my free time is too. Can't wait to make more memories with my friends and family afield in the years to come. Hopefully, I can capture it and share with the world too.

I've been slayin' around the north woods of Wisconsin, prairies of North Dakota and even dumped a bear in Canada. Yeah, that's right, fucking Canada. I'm the one the crew really looks up to. I've been told I have the hand of a brain surgeon when it comes to firearms. Nose of a bloodhound, nothing like Ricee but he's got an unfair advantage. I've even had landowners tell me that they felt their land was blessed after I made stuff take dirt-naps on it. I could sit here and write books on all the perfectly executed hunts, but I won't. I don't want to talk about it, I want to be about it.

Growing up around lovers of the outdoors, like my uncles, I was destined to be an outdoorsman myself. I can remember the first time I went fishing with my uncle In a small paddle boat. We caught our limit of blue gills and I caught the only bass of the day. I was hooked from then on. Being a nine or ten year old boy and fighting a largemouth bass and landing him was an indescribable feeling. Once I was old enough, I started hunting with a large group consisting of a few of my uncles and friends of the family. The camaraderie alone is enough to keep a guy a part of it, not to mention the feasts of wild game during and after the seasons. It’s an experience unlike any other.
